I just got this message as I was posting my thanks to Ray -- so thanks
to you to Anne because you suggested the same thing that worked.

Elise
You need to click into the Tasks folder, then View>Current View and
ensure
Active Tasks is ticked. Then View> Current view again then Customise
Current View and then click the Filter tab. Click the More Choices tab
and select the category/ies you need to show up.

I'm just re-posting this in the hopes that the person who knows how to
answer it didn't see it the first time.
Thanks!

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2003 tasks
I have my tasks set to show only the active ones, but some are personal
and some are for work. The work ones have no category listed and the
personal ones are listed with a category of personal. How do I set the
filter to still show only the active ones, but within that, only show
the
ones with no category listed?
Thanks,
Elise
