[mso] Exporting Contacts in Outlook 2003

I am trying to export my Contacts using this process as listed in Microsoft
Office Help online:
In Outlook, on the File menu, click Import and Export.
Click Export to a file, and then click Next.
Click Microsoft Excel, and then click Next.

Here is where the problem starts,
In the folder list, click the Contacts folder, and then click Next.

There are no folders listed, the box where the folder list should be is
totally blank. If I want to export to a .pst, the folder list shows up.

Ideas?
