Hi Jeremy...it's the ampersand that's causing the problem. Ampersands
in Excel are meant for concatenation, not adding.
So...if you want to add cells B3 and F3, your formula should be either
=SUM(B3,F3) or simply =B3+F3
If you want to add cells B3 THROUGH F3, your formula would be
=SUM(B3:F3)
Hope this clears it up for you.

I'm trying to do a spreadsheet with one sum formula in it, but I've
forgotten how to do it properly though.
I've currently got this =SUM(B3&F3) in the B2 cell.
Can you tell what I'm doing wrong without seeing the file, or should I
upload a copy of the file to the list's files group/section?
