Linda,
Many of the users out there are not very cognizant on the procedures to
do a search like that, with Access you can create a search routine, and
have the end user fill in or select from a pulldown and execute the
search, though I've created spreadsheets with that capablility the
database is much cleaner looking accomplishing the task.
