[mso] Excel space required to save on FD

I have a flat database in Excel on a FD I have roughly 400K free space
on the FD, but I get a message from Excel no room to save on floppy.
When thir is 700K free it saved. Is their a minimum amount of free space
Excel requirees to save on FD. Other programs such as Word where able to
save on the same FD with 400K free space.
