In C1, enter this formula:
=IF(A1=B1,A1,B1-A1)
or this formula:
=IF(A1=B1,A1,A1-B1)
depending whether you want to subtract A1 from B1, or B1 from A1.
Use conditional formatting to color the difference in C1 red.
Select C1.
Choose Conditional Formatting from the Format menu.
Change "Cell Value Is" to "Formula Is".
In the adjoining text box, enter =(A1<>C1)
Click the Format button.
On the Font tab, change the color to red.
Click OK to close the Format Cells dialog.
Click OK to close the Conditional Formatting dialog.
Hope this helps,
Hutch

Hello,
Please help
I am comparing the two cells.
A1=25
B1=45
I want the value in the C1 cell, if A1 is not equal to B1 then subtract the
value, else Show A1, and the subtracted value should have red colour.
Thanks in advance...
