Corrupt files can be caused by many things....if it's too large, it = risks corruption....if someone had it opened and crashed, it could corrupt the file....sometimes a location on a drive or folder can get corrupt and therefore the files there do also....or, sometimes files just get = corrupt for no obvious reason....I doubt it had anything to do with Win2k....I = see files become corrupt for no obvious reason all the time...it just = happens and it happens more often with larger files, and especially ones that = have a lot of graphics in them. No real way to avoid corruption....except for the size thing....but the important thing is to keep backups and update the backups regularly so = if it happens again, you don't lose it. (Other W2K PCs on the same network couldn't open it either, but then it was already corrupt!) =20 All help appreciated, =20 Mark ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
