Yes, Sandy, you can.
In the VBE (Alt+F11), you will see your macro code. If no code apprears
when you come to the VBE, tehn you need to use the file browser thingy
to the left to select first the workbook, then beneath that, 'Modules'
followed (I assume) by 'Module1'.
When you double-click on Module1, the code window will then open and
you'll see your macro code. Use normal copy and paste functionality to
copy it as many times as you need. Apart from making your detail
changes, you'll also need to change the Macro's name in the copy. The
name is the word which follows 'Sub' right at the top of the code.

Subject: [mso] Excel macro question
is it possible to "copy" a macro written in Excel and save it with
another name and make slight modifications so that it doesn't have to be
re-written for every small change?
Example: Have 32 reports that I have written a macro for to automate all
the formatting associated with the report. Each report has a slightly
different heading but all the formatting remains the same. I'd like to
"Save As" for the macro and then "Step Into" it to make the
modifications to the text portion of the macro.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Snowed in in Charlotte, NC
