There are tables in Access
There are cells in Excel linked to those tables. In Excel, to create a
NEW link, I would click on Data/Import External Data/Import Data/ then
path to the Access Database (.mdb) location then choose the table (or
query) that has the value I want. To refresh existing data, I would
click Data/Refresh Data for an individual value or I could click the
Refresh All icon on the External Data toolbar.
Currently, I can make new links. It's the dozens of old links I'd like
to refresh with the new file location. It will take HOURS to re-create
all of these links.

Sorry...I have no idea what a "linked table kind of thing" means, so I
can't help. If you can tell me how you linked it, then I might be able
to tell you how to change the link...and yes, you just quoted me when
you said how you changed it from the Access end.
However, you didn't answer my question...is the link in a formula? What
does the link do? Does it open the Access table? Does it pull
information into the Excel file from the table? If it does this, how
did you set it up?

It's not a hyperlink, it's more like a linked table kind of thing. In
Access, I can link to Excel worksheets. To refresh the data, I'd click
on Tools/Dabatase Utilities/Linked Table Manager.... I don't know how
to do it from Excel where a value is linked to an Access table.

Are you saying you have text in a cell that is hyperlinked to a file?
If so, right click on the text and select "Edit Hyperlink"....if that's
NOT what you are saying, tell me how you have them linked...is it in a
formula or something? If so. Go to Edit>Links and you will see a button
in there to update the link. Or are you saying you have Excel files
that are linked to in an Access database? If that's the case, just open
the database and go to the Tools menu and click on Database Utilities,
then click on Linked Table Manager and you can refresh the links to the
Excel files in there.
If you are talking about some other kinds of links, let us know.
