Glenda,
If I'm understanding your excel file rightly as an import data type file,
try setting the data range properties (Data/Import External Data/Data Range
Properties) to refresh every ___ minutes or to refresh on file open. You
can also do a manual refresh anytime by choosing Data/Refresh Data.
Hope this helps, Cathy

It's not a hyperlink, it's more like a linked table kind of thing. In
Access, I can link to Excel worksheets. To refresh the data, I'd click
on Tools/Dabatase Utilities/Linked Table Manager.... I don't know how
to do it from Excel where a value is linked to an Access table.

Are you saying you have text in a cell that is hyperlinked to a file?
If so, right click on the text and select "Edit Hyperlink"....if that's
NOT what you are saying, tell me how you have them linked...is it in a
formula or something? If so. Go to Edit>Links and you will see a button
in there to update the link. Or are you saying you have Excel files
that are linked to in an Access database? If that's the case, just open
the database and go to the Tools menu and click on Database Utilities,
then click on Linked Table Manager and you can refresh the links to the
Excel files in there.
If you are talking about some other kinds of links, let us know.

Subject: [mso] Excel links to Access
Hi All.
I have a Excel worksheet with several links to Access tables. The
network administrator is forcing me to move my files (for good reasons)
which means the links will no longer be valid. I tried several ways to
re-link but haven't been able to get it to work, including attempting to
edit the SQL. The help file has been no help. If one of you experts
could point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate the assist.
