That's the thing Jim, the worksheet is packed with links. The links are
via the New Database Query option under Data/External Data. If you put
your cursor on one the name box says Query_from_...

Glenda--
If the 'Link...' menu selection in Excel is greyed out, that means that
there *are* no links for that workbook. You'll need to first create a
link to an external data source (Access, a text file, anoher workbook,
etc.) before that 'Links...' option will be available. After you do
that, we can work on programatically refreshing those links...

I'll try it Jim. I haven't had any luck with VBA so far but maybe this
is THE ONE. What I don't understand about what I've already got is why
my links option on the edit menu is greyed out. Everything I researched
on Microsoft's web site indicates it should be available and the the
answer to my problem. Technology...go figure!=3D20

I have an Excel worksheet wherein all the cells are linked to data in an
Access database. When I open the worksheet, a message to enable
automatic refresh pops up. I want it to refresh without me having to
click the button.
My Links option on the Edit menu is greyed out and I can't figure out
why.
This is all XP/2003.=3D20
