Hi All,=20
I've got a bit of an advanced filter dilemma, and knowing the great
minds on this forum, I knew exactly where to start for the solution.
I am trying to create an advanced filter using formulas in the criteria
section, which picks up values keyed in on another tab from the same
spreadsheet. I have about 10 criteria going across the page, but the
user can only apply one at a time, meaning that only one cell at a time
in the criteria section will have a value, and all other criteria cells
will have no value in them (worked using an if formula"
Excel doesn't seem to like the formulae bit in the other criteria cells
and seems to be treating the formula itself as a criteria, because it is
not throwing back any values.
However, if I perform the same advanced filter by manual keying in the
criteria values, this seems to work just fine.
In the cells where there is a formula, but there is no value returned
(in criteria section), how do I tell excel to treat the cell as being
blank, so that it does not confuse the advanced filter?
Or does anybody know of any other way to get round this dilemma?
Many thanks
Herbert
