Hi Pam.....The things that will appear on all sheets when they are
grouped are the values and formulas you enter, and the formats you
apply, including colors, etc.
What WON'T apply to all the sheets when grouped is graphic
stuff....inserting a picture or wordart on one sheet, won't make it
appear on another. The reason for this is that the only stuff included
in grouping is stuff done within a cell. Since graphics are not really
inside the cells, they aren't included.
I would suggest you play around with it....that's the best way to learn.
Group some sheets and do some stuff and see what works and what doesn't.
And, don't play with this stuff on your real data. Make a fake workbook
and play around in there. Do the same with your formulas. You will see
that a formula that says =SUM(A1:A50) will say the same thing on every
sheet and will refer to the cells on the individual sheet it is on, not
on the first sheet
Of course, if you really want to learn Excel quickly and painlessly,
take my Excel class or buy my ebook...it's all in there *wink*

Hi Wilson,
Sorry to take so long to get back to everyone. I am not on the same
machine
now that I was on when I was trying to accomplish this. I won't be back
on
it until next Tuesday and I will give your suggestion a whirl.
On the grouping... you and Linda mentioned that whatever you do to one
sheet
changes on the other sheets too. Does this include data entered in
cells or
just formatting and formulas? And what if they aren't exactly the same
now
when I go to group them?
For Christine... I didn't reply directly to your question because I
think I
had just answered you question in a reply to Linda a few minutes before
I
saw your post.
Thank you all for being so patient with my questions. As I mentioned a
while back, all knowledge of formatting and formulas I have of Excel
comes
from the spreadsheet packed in Works 3.0 of 10 or more years ago. Some
of
this stuff I didn't even have a notion it was capable of doing until I
see
someone talking about it.
Take care,
Pam
