Anne...all you have to do is group the sheets before you go to Page
Setup...if you group them, then you can change the orientation on all of
them at one time.

To group sheets, click on the sheet tab for the first one, then shift/click
on the tab for the last one and that will group all in between....if they
aren't contiguous (side by side), use the control key instead of the shift
key to select them.

Then, be sure to ungroup them after you change the orientation, cuz if they
are grouped, whatever you to do one sheet, will be done to all, including
editing/adding data, etc.  To ungroup them, simply click on the tab for one
that is NOT selected and they will be ungrouped...or, if all are grouped,
just right click on one of the tabs and select "Ungroup sheets"...you can
tell which sheets are grouped becuz the tabs will be white.

That should make it lots easier for you.

I have a very large Excel file which consists of almost 60 sheets, data from
which is amalgamated into the front sheet of the file for the purposes of
creating merged documents within Word.

My question is whether it is possible to change the page orientation of the
vast majority of the sheets from landscape to portrait, or do I really have
to go through each one individually clicking File>Page Set
Up>Page>Portrait>OK then click the next sheet.

I have tried using the Format Painter but it doesn't seem to work for page
formatting.

After 20 pages I'm very bored already so hope somebody can help!
