[mso] Excel?

Good Morning All,

I have a scenario for which I am trying to develop a solution; now my
expertise lie in excel, but wasn't sure if this was the best place to do
this sort of thing, and would be grateful for advice from anyone who may
have done this sort of thing before.

The scenario as given to me is as follows:

"I am responsible for all the club membership, and am working with an
outdated system now for the size of the club.

I want to put all the existing club members on a database.  Then I want
to set up a system for tracking new membership applications, ie from the
point of filling in a membership application card to actually being
received into membership on the Saturday morning." =20

I would be interested in the different options available in Excel as
well as the usual suspect "Access", which I am not very good in.
