In Excel 2003 under File I have the menu item Send To with the choices of Mail
Recipient, Mail Recipient (for Review), Mail Recipient (as Attachment) in
addition to other choices.
The following is from the Excel Help File:
"To send e-mail from Excel : To send data as an attachment, you need
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Exchange Client, or
another 32-bit e-mail program compatible with the Messaging Application
Programming Interface (MAPI). Make sure Mapi32.dll is in the Windows System
folder. To send Excel data as the body of a message, you need Outlook 2000 or
later."
I tried using Mail Recipient and Mail Recipient (as Attachment) and both were
sent using Outlook Express with the first in the body and the second as an
attachment. I could not find anyplace in Excel for setting the email program
to use, but in Outlook Express under Tools --> Options then on the General Tab
at the bottom is the capability to make OE the default mail handling program if
it is not at the present time. You might check that setting.

I recently did a total Microsoft update. I think in its updating process it
changed the ability to send a workbook or worksheet as an email without it
going as an attachment.
My operating system is XP & I'm on cable.
I clicked on the email icon in the toolbar. It use to work with my Outlook
Express address book...it now only uses Outlook. So I typed in the email
address but there is NO SEND BUTTON! I have looked everywhere...even tried
to see if I could add it in the toolbar, but could not.
It use to do this function before the update. I know that I can send it via
attachment, is there any way I can send it as an open sheet?
