I imagine the macro is running at open, but is failing because of something
you've moved or removed.
You will need to analyse the macro to see how it finds its way around the
document, and then make sure you don't remove any of the mechanisms (e.g.
bookmarks or sections) involved. If your changes to the document will
affect areas the macro looks at, then you will need to change the macro to
match.
You might need help from an IT specialist in your company to achieve this.
