[mso] Downgrading to Outlook 2000?

Anyone here like me using MSO XP and has downgraded Outlook to 2K? 

Someone I respect suggested -- after I told him I still use The Bat! for my 
e-mail despite having MSO XP (2002) -- that I seriously consider abandoning 
Outlook 2002 and downgrading to 2K. 

I went to the MS site 
<http://www.microsoft.com/PERMISSION/copyrgt/cop-soft.htm#Downgrades> and was 
immediately intimidated. 

Any wisdom is welcome!
