[mso] Re: Displaying leading zeros in Access :VSMail MX3

Peggy,

If the numbers are basically text and have no calculations performed on them
as you say, you will want to make the field a text field. Next go into your
table design and set up an Input Mask. Make it so that all three digits are
required. (Create your own custom input mask and create it with 000, this
will require three numbers in length.) This way the numbers will always be
there. You will have to enter the number to begin with though.

How can I have leading zeros display in a field that contains a number. The
number is being delivered as number, but in database terms it really needs
only be text (no calculations are done on it). These are residency codes:
006, 087, 236, etc. It does not seem to matter whether I have the field be
text or number, I cannot get the leading zeros to display.
