[mso] Re: Dianne's question about Access viewer

Linda,

It only allows you to view reports because they are a "snapshot" of your
data at a specific point in time. You actually have to save your report to
that format. This allows you to archive a record of where you were at a
particular point. We use snapshots extensively at the credit union to
produce reports that create a picture at a particular point in time. Forms,
by nature are very dynamic items. There wouldn't be too much of a call to
view a snapshot of a form.

It's the same with the excel, word and powerpoint viewers.....all they
do is let you VIEW the file....you can't use them for anything more than
that

Wonder why the Access viewer only lets you VIEW reports tho? It'd be
nice to be able to view Forms, maybe

==============================
Yes, Dianne....it's just a snapshot viewer for viewing reports....that's
about all it does:

But that is because if it did more it would BE Access.
