If you want to remove duplicates in Excel, the best way to do it is with =
the
Advanced Filter feature
Highlight all the data where the duplicates appear then go to the Data =
menu
and choose Filter>Advanced Filter and put a check in the box that says
"unique records only"..this will remove exact duplicates, but they must =
be
exact
If you want to do it in Access, someone else will have to help you. =
Good
luck.

Subject: [mso] Deleting Duplicate Rows or Records
I have been compiling a dictionary of country and city locations in =
order to
facilitate a lookup function.
I have been left with 7000+ rows of data, a lot of it has been =
duplicated.
An example of this is :
Customer Location Name My Location name
AFGHANISTAN Afghanistan
Afghanistan Afghanistan
Afghanistan Afghanistan
AFGHANISTAN Afghanistan
Afghanistan Proper Afghanistan
This is based on different companies calling their countries by =
different
varieties.
I need a macro which will remove record 2 and 4 as they are duplicates.
I can import this into Access and do it there if someone can tell me =
how.
Thanks
Aaron
