=============================
Would you use a spreadsheet program (i.e., excel) to track data such as:
=============================
For me, it depends . . .
Is the data critical? Is it to be shared? Are the users computer literate?
Can the users "figure things out" or do they expect to push a button? What
are the consequences if the data becomes corrupted?
In reality, databases and spreadsheets are just different faces on data
structures that, underneath the covers, are very similar.
But the different faces are critical.
BTW, just because you put the data in a database doesn't mean that you can't
provide a push-button download into a spreadsheet to permit user
manipulation of a COPY of the data.
