[mso] Custom character/symbol in Word?

I have started typing up some brittle letters sent by ancestors for
genealogy. There is character used by my aunt that I don't know how to
reproduce. It resembles a plus symbol, but with the right end of the
horizontal line diagonally connected to the bottom of the vertical line.
It looks as she drew the line straight down, went to the right diagonally,
and made a horizontal line to cross the vertical line. Is there such a
character I can use to represent this? If not, can I overstrike two
characters to achieve this?
Thank you,
Robert
