Ray,
The easiest way to do this is to select the first query in the database
window and then hold down the control key while you drag the query to a
blank spot in the window. IT will copy with the name copy of... your
original query. Easy to edit the name then by selecting the copy and
press F2. Then edit the query.

Subject: [mso] Creating Access Querries From Other Querries
To All,
It seems to me that it should be easy to create new queries in Access
2002 by modifying existing ones, but I was unable to do so. I want to
create twelve separate queries that differ very little. Most of the
selection criteria are identical. Just one field is different. The
resultant reports go to twelve different people.
Please give me some guidance on how to save a copy of a query with a new
name while keeping the original query intact. From that point, I can go
into Design View and make the necessary change to one criterion.
Thanks for the help.
Ray Shapp
