  You can try to use the "countif" formula, assuming that you have a column 
that will identify the age of the person. 
   
  =COUNTIF(A1:A6,">29")
   
  A1:A6  is the range of cell where the age of the person can be found
  >29 is the criteria in which you want to validate the range.

I am trying to set up a formula that will count the number of people
with supplemental life that are under the age of 30. Can anyone help?
I have tried several If formulas but I can't seem to get it to work.
