Hi Robert,
You have to put your table of contents in a separate section (to do this,
insert a section break just before and another just after it), then you can set
the headers just for that section by clocking the mouse anywhere inside the
table and going to the View->Headers and footers menu (then in the following
section you click the mouse anywhere on the page, go to the header and uncheck
the "Same as previous" button).
As for highlighting the lines in the table of contents, I'm afraid I can't help
you there.
