When I click on my address book in the task pane. Then I look to the
left where it says global address book....on the drop down menu I should
see a contacts option. I do not.....where did it go.

Mervyn,
This is not strictly speaking an Office question (since Adobe is not
part of MS Office). A PDF file is, essentially, a format which shows
how the document would look when printed on a Postscript printer. You
will probably need to tweak the resolution (dots per inch) that the PDF
file is created at. It's possible that you are creating the PDF
document at a low resolution - maybe even 75 dpi (suitable for
screen/web viewing only). Check the settings available in the process of
converting it from a Word document to a PDF file.
