        Wow! I haven't thought of using an Index in years! I would say with
the ability to search they are now next to useless in electronic format. 

        The only use I can think of, is synonym in nature. E.G. If the topic
was Moving from Dreamweaver to Web Expressions then an index would have
"Publishing", but those used to Dreamweaver only know "Put and Get", so the
index would have "Get" and later "Put" both with "See: Publishing".
