[mso] Re: Adding fields to an Access database?

Robert,

Since this is a whole new environment for you, I think you need to put
in a bit of time with the basics. There are some great introductory
Access books out there, and some good web resources too. You could do
worse than start here:

        http://www.fgcu.edu/support/office2000/access/

The ABC and Techtrax ezines also have some intro level articles. It's
going to be a more effective way to learn the basics than in this forum.

Apologies. The subject should have been changed from:
RE: [mso] Re: Access file closes upon attempt to use it. MS ACCESS 2000

To:
Adding fields to an Access database?

Got too much going at the same time, I think.

Ok, got the data imported, and I have added two fields; Comment1 and
Comment2.

Upon trying to use them, the message pops up at the bottom saying:

Control can't be edited, it's bound to unknown field 'Comment1'.

I have no clue what that means. "#Name?" appears in the field, and when
I try to type over it, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me how to
correct this please? Remember I am new to this <g>.

Thank you.

Robert
