[mso] Re: Accessing/Opening PowerPoint Temp Files...Possible?

You can try renaming the TMP file to filename.PPT and then open it from PPT.
(Or you could just open the TMP file directly from within PPT using the
"show all files" option at the bottom of that dialog box.

Check http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq (put "recover corrupt" without the
quotation marks in the search engine there) for some things you might try.
However, judging from what you describe below, I don't hold out much hope,
sorry.
