I understand this. But the other is frustrating me so, I wish I understood
it.

Peggy,

Peter is telling you how to get the relationships to show. It may have been
that the option to display all relationships was turned off and that would
be the reason they were not showing up when you exited and re-entered the
window. By selecting Show All Relationships, it should display them even
after you leave and come back

James

Peter, Thanks, but this doesn't really address the problem...
Originally I kept establishing relationships. Saving them and closing the
window. When I reopened the window the relationship had disappeared.
So, following previous advice, I created a new database, importing all the
objects from the old.
I opened the relationships and SURPRISE the relationships are there multiple
times! Its as if when I was trying to get them to stay the first go-around
they were recorded and not visible. Now in the second go-around they are
there. I've tried several times to get rid of the extra instances as James
suggested, but the next time I open the relationships window they return. I
have also tried repeatedly to create a new relationship and it is not
visible when I re-enter the relationships window. (And yes I save upon every
close of the window.)
Basically, my question is why don't my relationships hold? (Or, are they
"holding" but not viewable?) And/Or Is it going to give me grief down the
road? Right now the database is only 1/100th of its intended size.

Hi Miss Peg,

In the relationships window, on the toolbar, there are
2 Icons with like dots on them. (kinda like).

Slowly pass your mouse over the Icons and click the one
that says "Show ALL Relationships".

Then you'll see ALL what's in there.... I don't care if the
sky falls. If it's in there, you'll see it.

Good luck

Do have any idea why I couldn't see them in the first database and now =
they
show in the second?

Peggy,

You should be fine deleting the extra instances of the table.
