By chance in design mode, could you check the data fields and see what the
'enabled' and 'locked' status's say. Enabled should say yes and Locked
should say no. Just a thought, not sure if it's in the right direction.

I spoke too soon. I am now (a little, considering my knowledge has
theoretically increased) worse off since the earlier problem I posted.
My form/subform was so messed up that I killed it and started over. Now I
cannot enter data in the main form (back to my original problem).
I have searched and scratched my head, and even created a new form (using
the wizard) to no avail - NONE of the controls on the form allow me to
enter
data.
What gives here?
