I have a feeling that you won't be able to do it from VBA. Notice that when
you do it through the menus, it closes out the main database window before
doing the backup. This is similar to tools such as the compact/repair and
means that Access is actually closing the database before doing the
activity. This would close out any VBA that was running, too.
You could possibly do it with a VB program, running externally to Access.
Alternatively, have a look at a Google search of the subject. There are
many ways that people have fudged backups.
