Hi,
I'm pretty sure this may be an old question because I can't imagine it
hasn't been addressed before... so apologies in advance and thankyous for
bearing with me.
I have a set of MDB files with filenames like ABFE 6.MDB , ABFE 7.MDB , ABFE
8.MDB.
This is an ultra simple version control :-)
Work is actually done on the base file ABFE.MDB. This is because I shortcut
to this file from the desktop,
So far I've been... exiting the database... going to the folder... copying
the basic file ABFE.MDB... and renaming it with an incremented number.
This is all a bit womanual for me.
Ideally I want to be able to click a button.... Doesn't matter where it
is... And have the database save itself as the base file and as a file with
an incremented number so I can easilly take a "snapshot" of where I am.
Soooooo...
The questions are...
Does anyone have a solution?
Does anyone have a link to a good forum where I may find a solution.
I have posted a similar query on one of Dians forums.
I would be grateful for any responses and TIA
Regards
Lisa
