[mso] Re: Access 2003: How to Conditionally Print A LIne In AReport?

Hi David and Robert,

Well, we are making progress...

I removed the table references and am now using the following expression:

  =Trim([PHONE] & [2nd_Phone])

Note that the spelling as well as the upper/lower case are correct, and the
field names have no blank spaces.

I still get the 55-page report with "#Error" on lines alternating with blank
lines, but I don't get the request for parameter values.

I examined the PHONES and 2nd_Phone fields in the PEOPLE table. Field Size for
both are the same length (13 characters). PHONES is a required field and
"Allow Zero Length" is set to "No". 2nd_Phone is not required, and "Allow
Zero Length" is set to "Yes".

When I examine the text box in the test report, I see an exclamation mark
warning which, when I hover over the warning symbol, says, "This control has a
reference to itself". When I open the warning, it says "Invalid Control
Property: Control Source", and, on a second line, it says, "Circular
Reference".

What does all that mean?

Ray Shapp
