[mso] Access 2002: Referencing a Tab Control On A Subform

What am I doing wrong?  I use this: 'Me.sfrmVendor!Contact =
cboContact.Column(1)' successful, it is a subform on a main form referring
to another subform (sfrmVendor).  I have added a tab control (TabCtl1) to
the subform containing sfrmVendor subform, and that changes the reference.
I have tried several variations to add the tab control to the after update
event:

Example: Me.sfrmVendor!TabCtl1.Contact = cboContact.Column(1)

How do I add the reference to the tab control?  Thanks, Cathy
