Rocky,
That should also work. I didn't know what other data you had. Is there any
reason you have the dates like this? The database would probably work much
more efficiently if you would assign a date value to the field in question.
Then you could simply do a search for whatever date range you wanted.

James La Borde you sent an answer to my query, but it didn't work.
Here was the question. I have one field I want to search in the
database with 214 records and in it are 4 things I don't want to find
in the query. I do want to find the null records plus anything other
than these 4. You sent this. Is Null And Not Like "*02" And <>
"Pos" And <> "Empl" And <> "NA". Those where the 4 things I
didn't want to find. It didn't find anything.
I did the search with Is Null And not like "*02" and got the records I
wanted, (there were 36 or them) but also got 25 of the others I
didn't want.
Hope I'm explaining this so you understand what I'm trying to do?
There are dates in 99, 00, 01 and I want to find out who those
people are so we can get them to a scheduled test day.
IDEA !!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't this work better if I said: Is Null And Like "*99" And Like
"*00" And Like "*01". That way it wouldn't find anything but those
years. Am I gaining on it now?
