[mso] Access 2000 - Forms problem

This is going to be somewhat complicated to describe - I hope you will bear
with me.

In Access [2000] we have two tables: Clients and Results. The tables store
the details of Clients and the Results they obtained in examinations
(European Computer Driving Licence exams, though that is not important).
They are related on ClientID

I have created a form which lists fields from the Clients table with a
subform (in table format) listing the Results for each client.

All this works well and as expected except that, in Form view, there is an
area of the screen - in fact, about half of it - which masks part of the the
sub-form, do what I will. If I have more than about 8 records in the
subform, I need to use a scroll bar to see all of them. This area has the
same background (Sandstone) as the form.

In Form View, I can right click on this area which seems to mask the subform
and it tells me it is a text box associated with, or called ClientID. In
Design view, no such text box appears to exist (except as a legitimate text
box for the ClientID data) ... nor can I find any such object.

I used the Form Wizard to create this form (and its sub-form).

I shall be delighted to give more description and even a sample of the mdb
to anyone who thinks they might be able to assist me with this problem. I
have tried enlarging the Form Footers on both the main form and the sub-form
but to no avail; I have also played with the settings for each which say
