Setup an outlook client to login as the user, export the user's mail to a
pst. Delete, recreate the mail box and import the .pst.

Subject: [msexchange] backing up mailbox
Exchange 5.5 sp3, nt 4, sp6a, Outlook 2K clients.
I need to delete a specific mailbox and then recreate it, because it si
causing the backup to fail. I have tried archiving to save teh contents
before i dlete it, but archiving is hihgly unreliable. I looked into
exporting, but ex5.5 only allows for the export of a whole container and not
a single mailbox.
Can anyone tell me what is the best way to save the contents of the mailbox
before deleting?
Thanks.

# 1 Exchange 5.5 server. Client wants IMAP/POP3 from the
# internet... but as
# we all know, enabling IMAP/POP3 sets up SMTP relay. Is
# there a way to
# force the client to authenticate when sending SMTP mail?
