I understand your fears with wanting to upgrade your
SP, but as Travis rightly pointed out that is why you
have backup.

However find below a link below to event id, and a guy
who had a similar problem and how he resolved it.
There are also various articles you could refer to. I
have found this site to be the easiest and fastest way
to resolve problems. It used to be free , but now you
pay a subscription fee. I hope this helps.
