You can use the F2 command to move a transaction and thereby change the order.

Franklin,

I believe the order of any series of entries with the same date is the original order you first wrote them. The item field isn't used for sorting, rather the date field. and when writing a series of transactions on the same dates, the order you first entered the transactions remains the order. I suspect you'll need to reenter the transactions in the correct check order you desire, then delete the duplicates, leaving you with the correct check order.

Subject: [moneytalks] placing entries in order

The other day I accidentally placed the wrong check numbers on a series of checks. When I corrected the error I anticipated Money Talks would place those checks in numeric order since they were all written on the same date.

Is there any way to get the program to adjust the order?
