[moneytalks] Re: payment first

Jim:

I totally misunderstood your question this morning and thought you
wanted to change the grid layout, not the New Transaction dialog layout.
You cannot change the dialog layout.

For now, the amount is not retained when selecting a pay name. We can't
decide what to do about this one, since recurring transactions would
probably meet the need in most cases. The only time recurring
transactions wouldn't work is when you pay someone on a non-regular
basis, but it is the same amount each time.

Rob,
I followed the instructions , going into view, and then layout. I
selected
payee which was number two, pressed move up and it went to the top of
the
list. I then pressed ok. However, when I went into the new transactions
the
amount was still first and the payee second. I tried three times with
the
same results.
Even if I was successful in placing the payee first, will the new
version
retain the amount of the last payment?
