While we could do this, it is non-standard behavior. For example, most
any other programs you have also have a recent file list on the file
menu, but I'll bet none of them have a way to clear the list. Selecting
a file from this list which no longer exists will remove it from the
list.

On the file menu, there are 8 previously opened files.
Some are mine, and some are not.
I would like to have a option to clear the history
