I did not have to do the registry. I did the first two suggestions. It
worked. I can once again start it quickly.
As an aside, I have a version on Windows 10 with solid state memory. The
program on this Surface Pro starts almost before you get your finger off the
enter key.

Gary,
You will find some files in the following locations. You can use the
following shortcuts (%xx%) in the run dialog to get to the folders to which
I am referring.
%appdata%\aph\Money Talks
Contains: payname history, check templates, etc. You may delete these if you
wish, but of course you will not have them when reinstalling.
C:\Users\All Users\APH\ASE
Contains: APH registration info. Look for mt.dat. This file is the reason
you are not prompted to reenter your registration information. You can
delete it, but you will need your registration info to get the full version
back.
%userprofile%\Documents\Money Talks
May contain: your personal account files. You can imagine what will happen
if you delete these. In short, back them up somewhere else first.

Hi Gary:
In your programs x 86, there is an APH folder, which contains a Money Talks
folder.
That is where the files are that relate to installation and such. The
mt_doc.dat is the file that contains the registration information.

When I uninstall and reinstall Moneytalks, the new install already knows the
location of my MT files and my settings. This must mean my uninstall is
leaving behinds things which are not being refreshed by a new install. Can
you tell me where to look to remove these?
