Paul,

I don't print reports myself, so perhaps my notion below won't work for you.

I'm thinking you can go to the first transaction of a given month, hold down the shift key and arrow down through all the transactions in that month to highlight them. Then go to the View menu, arrow down to "by selection", and enter. You will now have a restricted view of your register containing only the transactions you have selected. Note that the MT speech won't identify each highlighted transaction as you shift-arrow down through the list. So it may be that you'll need your regular screen reader to make sure you know exactly what is highlighted. On the other hand, if the very last transaction in your register is the last one for the most recent month you want to print, you can still use the MT speech. Just go to the first date of the month, and shift-arrow down to the very bottom of the register. You won't need to make sure you haven't gone beyond the current month since there will be no transactions beyond the current month.

Now, here's the $64,000,000 question. Are you now able to print out only the restricted register you've created? Interested to know.

Also Rob. This brings up an idea as well. Can you install a hotkey for quickly choosing the "by selection" option. It would save arrowing through the menu system. I suspect a person who uses "by selection" a lot would find a hotkey useful.

Hi, Rob. Will the new money talks have any new report generation features? A
few months ago I or my wife sent you an idea to generate a monthly report
that she needed to keep track of statements, etc. We never heard back from
you. Right now, we can't generate a report, say, for July, starting with a
beginning balance and an ending balance at the end of that month with all
transactions occurring in that month.
Any way to add this feature? Right now, if I want to look at a statement, I
need to print out the entire register. Eventually, that's going to get
pretty long.
Thanks.
