[moneytalks] Re: Missing categories

Steve,

If you are using Windows XP, the path to the PayNames.ini, Items.ini, and
Categories.ini files is as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Aph\MoneyTalks.

Hi Suzy, Tony and all,

Can you explain to me where to find this .ini file you mentioned? Is there
also one for the item field, category and sub-category. I'm a bit of a
dunce moving about the windows environment. Used to be able to work with
DOS very well.

This brings up a notion for a possible fix, if one wants to call it that, in
the MT program. Specifically can MT be designed so that if one looses their
lists of items in the list boxes, can MT be set up so as to automatically
create a backup of all lists every time a change is made in payee/payer,
item, category or sub-category? Then can the user have a way to easily
import these lists into the program through one of the menus? This is
assuming that these .ini files are the culprit. Maybe MT can be made to do
this in the background without the user being aware?

Any notions?

TIA

Steve
