I tend to like this idea don!!

It would also be cool if this could be exported as an excel file for =
viewing
on other machines.

Ok, the module would start out by asking you for your monthly income.
Then, for a list of categories, some pre-defined and some you could add, =
=3D
you would be asked to enter dollar amounts which would constitute your =
=3D
conceived budget. You would do this, editing your category names and =
=3D
dollar amounts until you had a budget you could live with. It could =3D
even import categories from the register module.

Once this initial effort is saved, you are presented with a grid with =
=3D
the categories along the top, and the days (1 through 31) down the left. =
=3D
Each day, you enter what you spend into each cell corresponding to the =
=3D
category name heading that column. As you enter data, you are told "you =
=3D
have entered x dollars for this category and you have x dollars left for =
=3D
this month."

If you consistently go over a budgeted amount, you are encouraged to =3D
adjust your amount for that category.

Bottom Line: you are forced to account for your spending, and thus spend =
=3D
responsibly in accordance with whatever long-term goals you have =3D
established.

Any good financial planner recommends that individuals getting their =3D
=3D3D3D
finances in order begin with a budget, laying out exactly what the =
=3D3D3D
income is, and tracking its outgoing over the month.

Would you consider down the road adding a budgeting module to MT which =
=3D
=3D3D3D
would assist in helping blind individuals complete this often daunting =
=3D
=3D3D3D
task?

Thanks.

Don
