Hi Kerry,

Yes, but I normally keep my F8 key in the "speak headings after cell" mode and "up down navigation is set to speak cell. If the program can be made to honor these settings it would mean the behavior of the alt plus up and down arrow keys would remain as expected. This would also be true for those using up down navigation in the speak line mode.

If it could be changed with relative ease, I think it would be considered an enhancement, being more efficient and the behavior as to speech would be what is commonly experienced by the user regardless of how they have their F8 key set.

Best regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Wouldn't using the CTRL-space read the entire transaction for you?
That would give you all the information you need I find.

modification/improvement

Rob and MT folks,

When using the alt plus up or down arrows to jump to uncleared transactions,
MT just reads the value in the current column. If you are in the date
column when using the command you just hear the date of the transaction
found.

How about having the program respect the F8 setting here, regarding speaking headings before cell, after cell, and not at all. You would immediately get
all necessary information as if you were simply using the arrow keys, not
having to use the left and right arrows to investigate the transaction you
found.

Can this be accomplished?

Thanks,
Steve
