I think that it is personal preference or iny case lack of knowledge. I open
a new file for the new year.

Subject: [moneytalks] 2008 start

Hello,

I have completed my first year using money talks.

I would like to know what users do. Do you open a new file for 2008 with a
beginning balance from where you left off.

Do you keep adding on to the existing account? This seems like it could make
bookkeeping more cumbersome?

When I use the restrict by date feature, the starting balance isn't shown.

Is there a way to show the running balance when you restrict by date?

One last thing for this message

I can not get the category summary function control G to work in any of my
accounts accept my personal checking account.

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

Thank you and happy holidays.

Nancy
