A little tip I use, 50% creosote +50% old engine oil..... No chance of any
water impregnation or rot.

Hi Rich.
many thanks for the info i have put a ad on home workshop for rail i make
up my sleepers with roof batons they are cheep to buy and i soak them in
creosote i think that is how you spell it and they seem to be ok for now
that is also i have used second hand ally rail before with out any problems
i will let you know how i get on
